IRVING LOUIS LATTIN: Thursday, June 17th at 7:30

Irving Louis Lattin has been called "the real deal" in the rhythm and blues/soul music scene. A native Chicagoan, Lattin grew up during a time when almost every blues legend lived, recorded, and performed throughout the city daily. He hung out with blues veterans on Maxwell street and learned to jam. He also began songwriting. In the late fall of 1982, Irving landed in New York city armed with an appointment at RCA records who were interested in a song he'd written, and he's been here ever since.
