Event Details

Celebrate all that our library has to offer by participating in our 2021 Summer Reading Program from Tuesday, June 22nd - Saturday, August 21st

Bring in your postcard!

Bring your postcard to the Reference desk, provide your name and phone number to be entered into a raffle! The Postcard Raffle winner will be announced on Thursday, July 22nd

You will also receive a Gold Coin, good for $5 off of overdue fines! This can only be redeemed once and is not valid for replacement fees or museum pass late fees.

How to Participate

  1. Register online via Beanstack (www.longbeachlibrary.beanstack.com), a quick and easy way to log your Summer Reading progress.
  2. Start Reading and earn badges to enter to win gift cards to local businesses!
  3. Those who earn all of the reading badges for the School Age, Teen/Tween, and Adult categories will be eligible to win the Grand Prize – a Kindle Paperwhite!
  4. Winners of the gift cards and Grand Prize will be drawn on Monday, August 30th
