Popular art historian Thomas Germano presents this visual lecture on the work of the baroque Italian painter, Artemisia Lomi Gentileschi. Gentileschi is considered among the most accomplished 17th-century artists, initially working in the style of Caravaggio. She was producing professional work by the age of 15!  Her work defied norms, reshaped art, and she became a feminist icon through her paintings.
