About the Author: 

The daughter of Mexican immigrants, Erika L. Sánchez' debut poetry collection, Lessons on Expulsion, was published in 2017 and was a finalist for PEN America Open Book Award. Her debut YA novel, I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter, was a NYT bestseller and a National Book Awards finalist and is now being made into a film.
