In collaboration with Bright Eye Beer Co., the Long Beach Public Library will be moderating this nonfiction discussion group on the third Tuesday of every month at their brewery located at 50 W Park Ave.

This month, we are reading Nick Offerman's anecdotal travel guide, Where the Deer and the Antelope Play: The Pastoral Observations of One Ignorant American Who Loves to Walk Outside. Copies of the book will be available at the circulation desk or digitally via Libby with your library card.

With wit, heartwarming stories, and insight, the actor takes a literary journey, along with friends Jeff Tweedy and George Saunders, to Glacier National Park to celebrate the people and landscape that have made it great. This book dives into subjects such as: the history and geology of the National Parks of the West; farming, animal life, and conservation; the importance of outdoor recreation, including hunting and fishing.

This will be our last meeting as we break for the Summer. We will return on September 19th with David Grann's blockbuster true crime, Killers of the Flower Moon.
