Don't miss the launch of our new March exhibit, Building Upon Color, featuring the incredible work of local architect Annie Wellner! Our 2nd floor art gallery is filled with stunning architectural renderings of a number of Long Beach homes and landmarks, including the Boardwalk, Shine's, and the Long Beach Mermaid!  Come see if your home is one of the lucky homes to be drawn and displayed here at the Library!

Born in Texas and raised in Alaska, Annie Wellner moved to Long Beach five years ago to pursue her dream of designing skyscrapers in the most storied setting. Today, she is an architect at HLW, where she works on a wide range of Google offices in Manhattan’s Chelsea Market district. Bolstered by her architecture degree from the University of Texas at Austin, where she learned hand drafting, Annie pursues her passion for design outside of work by sketching and painting buildings of all varieties.
