The 2022 Cabaret Festival continues with: “Kander and Ebb … And All That Jazz”

KAREN MASON performs with CHRISTOPHER DENNY on piano.

Karen Mason has headlined at Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, Feinstein’s/54Below (NY), Feinstein’s @ The Nikko (San Francisco), The Legendary Birdland,  Rainbow & Stars, the Algonquin, The Supper Club and The Ballroom in NYC; The Cinegrill, Feinstein’s/LA and the UCLA/ASCAP Concert Series in Los Angeles; and The Park West and Davenport’s in Chicago.

She has shared concert stages with Michael Feinstein, Jerry Herman, Chita Rivera, Luciano Pavarotti, Rosemary Clooney, Liza Minnelli, and John Kander & Fred Ebb, among others. Karen has given concerts in the United Kingdom, Sweden, Brazil, Scotland, Tokyo and Osaka. Her starring symphonic performances include The Long Beach Symphony Orchestra with Maestro Michael Berkowitz, The Philly Pops, The New York Pops , The Oklahoma Philharmonic, the premiere performance of The Chicagoland Pops, The Indianapolis Philharmonic, and the St. Louis Symphony with John McDaniel.

Christopher Denny has served as musical director, arranger and pianist for such theater, cabaret and opera luminaries as Karen Mason, Brent Barrett, Julie Wilson, David Campbell, Lauren Bacall, Dorothy Loudon, Judy Kaye, Steven Brinberg and Rodney Gilfry, earning, in the process, two Back Stage Bistro Awards and four Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs (MAC) Awards for Outstanding Musical Direction. His duties have taken him to virtually all of the major rooms in New York and throughout the country, notably including Carnegie Hall, where he performed with Skitch Henderson and the New York Pops, and the Opera Liceu in Barcelona, as well as to Australia and London’s West End. His film work includes having produced the recording sessions of Placido Domingo for Baz Luhrmann’s Oscar-winning musical film, Moulin Rouge. This season, he has been co-creator and arranger for David Arthur’s new musical, Saratoga Trunk Songs, in New York and Chicago.
