Program Description

Event Details

Holi is the Hindu Festival of Colors which celebrates the emergence of Spring and is a celebration of an eternal and divine love of Radha and Krishna. It also signifies the triumph of good over evil. Holi is traditionally celebrated by dancing in the streets while throwing brightly colored powders around in the crowds- this results in a beautiful burst of color all over the celebrants!

Join us for a fun and unique storycrafter where we will read the book The Festival of Colors and learn all about Holi! We will then celebrate in the 'traditional way' but with our own twist! We will be doing Holi Powder Painting, where we will throw the powders at coated canvases to create beautiful Holi art!

ATTENTION PARENTS!!! THIS IS A MESSY CRAFT- PLEASE DRESS YOUR CHILD ACCORDINGLY! WE WILL PROVIDE PLASTIC APRONS, BUT YOU SHOULD STILL DRESS FOR A MESS!

YOU MUST REGISTER EACH CHILD INDIVIDUALLY. IF YOU DO NOT, YOU WILL HAVE YOUR REGISTRATION CANCELLED.
