Event Details

Katie Mitchell, experienced singer/songwriter and lyricist, will delve into the similarities and differences between writing poetry and writing lyrics for songs. The workshop will cover topics such as song arrangement, rhyme scheme, lyrical phrasing, and the use of repetition in songwriting. Mitchell will use examples from her own songs through stripped down acoustic performances to demonstrate the qualities of lyrical writing.
