Program Description

Event Details

Join Library staff for a special discussion of the documentary feature, Trezoros: The Lost Jews of Kastoria, produced and directed by local resident Lawrence Russo. With previously unreleased pre-war archival footage and first-person testimonies, TREZOROS: THE LOST JEWS OF KASTORIA chronicles the Jewish life and culture of Kastoria, a picturesque lakeside village in Northwestern Greece. Here, Jews and Greek Orthodox Christians lived together in harmony for more than two millennia until World War II, when this long and rich history would be wiped out in the blink of an eye.

*Registration is required to receive the link to watch the documentary. This link will be sent to registered participants no earlier than January 23rd until February 5th, 2021.
