Seydurah Avecmoi is a fiery, dynamic blues vocalist who hybrids an eclectic mixture of rock, funk and soul! Her short stature gives no inkling of the vocal power of blues and soul that roars loudly from that small mild-mannered frame!
Born in the South Bronx, New York and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Seydurah was fed a healthy musical diet of Motown, Blues, Rock including such artists as Ike and Tina Turner, BB King, Lucille Bogan, The Rolling Stones amongst countless others. Seydurah's musical life changed when in 2014, she met none other than the great Blues legend, Sweet Georgia Brown. Sweet Georgia Brown saw a legacy light in Seydurah, and promptly named her as her protege!
From then on, Seydurah Avecmoi has been singing out and proud the Blues!
In December 2016, Seydurah headlined several packed shows at B.B. KINGS House of Blues in Times Square!!!! I have completed two successful tours throughout China at THE HOUSE OF BLUES & JAZZ, FRIENDS and THE JZ CLUB to rave reviews! She also headlined a full orchestra at the MANHATTAN COCKTAIL CLASSIC VIP GALA held annually at the history New York Library on 5th Ave!, Winnies Jazz Lounge, Patrick's Place, Arthur's Tavern, NYC.
Most recently returning from her sizzling performance at the swing/ blues dance 2025 festival in Canberra, Australia, Seydurah Avecmoi currently has musical residencies at TERRA BLUES, MADAME GEORGE and a host of guest appearances with several versatile bands highlighting her unique brand of blues!
Seydurah Avecmoi's resume' includes performance collaborations with:
Danny Lipschitz and The Brass Tacs, Binky Griptite, Michael Arnella & His Dreamland Orchestra, Decade of Soul, Christopher Williams, Michael Hartnett, Papa J & Mo Soul, Empire Beats, Solomon Hicks and a range of many others!
She performs throughout the U.S.A and internationally.
