Medical Marijuana: What You Need to Know (Zoom)

In this important program, Dr. Diana Martins-Welch--attending physician in Palliative Medicine at Northwell Health--will discuss the medicinal effects of the cannabinoids CBD and THC.  We will learn about the conditions that medicinal cannabis is commonly used for and review the data that supports its use.  The New York State medical cannabis program will be discussed in detail.  Presented by Dr. Martins-Welch's focus is on improving the quality of life of patients with cancer, much of which is done with the aid of medicinal cannabis.
