Alan Walden, who helped to forge, along  with his brother Phil and best friend Otis Redding, the foundation of a musical Southern Man Music & Mayhem In The American South: A Memoirrenaissance that emerged from the American South. As a manager, publisher, promoter, and producer, Alan helped to bring scores of artists into the world's consciousness—from R&B to Southern rock, from Percy Sledge to Lynyrd Skynyrd

Darren Paltrowitz is an LBNY resident, music journalist, and host of the podcast "Paltrocast with Darren Paltrowitz." He has written for the New York Daily News, Inquisitr, The Daily Meal, The Hype Magazine, All Music Guide, Guitar World, TheStreet.com, Businessweek, Chicago Tribune, L.A.
