Event Details
Is your child unable to practice for orchestra at home because their instrument is out of tune? Bring your child's string instrument to the Youth Services department to have resident librarian/violist Michela tune your instrument and answer any questions you may have about string instrument care.
Tuning services are available for violin, viola, and cello only. The individual responsible for the instrument must remain in the room during tuning.
Please be advised that Michela will tune instruments at her professional discretion -- if she believes making an adjustment may jeopardize the instrument, she may refuse tuning and instead provide suggestions for next steps.
Registration is not required, however, registering ensures that we are able to accommodate your needs. Please reach out to Michela by email if you have any questions.
