Long Beach Public Library is proud to house a traveling exhibit on loan from the Long Island Library Resources Council and New York Heritage:

RECOGNIZING WOMEN'S RIGHT TO VOTE IN NEW YORK STATE

This 5 panel pop up exhibit explores the monumental occasion of New York State being one of the first in our nation to recognize women and their right to vote! With photographs, historic media and an explanation of the facts, this exhibit is a valuable resource in learning about New York Suffragettes and their movement. Leading into the March celebration of Women's History Month, this is a perfect opportunity to learn about this time in New York State Women's History!
