Join Michele Zwierski on double bass, Rita Rozen on bass trombone, and Jay on tuba for a family concert featuring the lowest members of the orchestra. Hear an eclectic program of classical, jazz, rock and various other genres of music, from Beethoven to the Beatles to Sousa and beyond. Experience these unusual instruments up close and personal.

About the Underdogs of the Orchestra:

Michele Zwierski has music degrees from the University of Wisconsin Madison and Yale University. She is a librarian and plays in several Long Island orchestras.

Jay Rozen has music degrees from Ithaca College and Yale University. In 2020, he received his Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Stony Brook University. He was a member of the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra and spent 9 years playing with jazz great Anthony Braxton.

Rita Rozen has a music education degree from the University of Northern Florida at Jacksonville. They are completing a Masters degree in Music Therapy from Slippery Rock University.
