18th Century Colonial Conversation with James Cameron

Get a glimpse of colonial life in this 18^th century historical reenactment from historian and author James Cameron! Cameron plays John Rollison, an 18^th century Virginian and free man of color. In this unique historical conversation, we’ll hear about Rollison’s roots as a shoemaker’s apprentice and how he rose to prominence as a plantation owner and proprietor of a flourishing tavern in Williamsburg.  Bring your questions about colonial life!  John Rollison will answer all questions in character throughout this informative program that illustrates the life of this little-known Black Patriot’s journey through historical storyteller James Cameron.
