Program Description

Event Details

Take the fear out of drawing in this class for beginners and returning artists who wish to brush-up on their skills. Build on the fundamentals of observational drawing while looking at simple forms, still life arrangements and reference photos. Participants receive instruction in building form through line and value (light and shadow) and develop an understanding of proportion, perspective and composition. Enjoy this class in our studio as all participants are guided and supported through group and individual instruction.

Participants should plan to attend each of the six weekly classes. Please do not register if you cannot attend regularly. 

Registration is required.

PARTICIPANTS SHOULD BRING THE FOLLOWING SUPPLIES:

An assortment of drawing pencils, 2b, 4b, 6b, H, HB.. ( bring along any drawing supplies you’d like to use!)A kneaded eraser

A  drawing pad/sketch pad preferably 12by 14, or 12by16…paper weight 80 lb or over. Mixed media pads recommended, Canson Brand
