Program Description

Event Details

During these 4 sessions the class will be working primarily with oils on small canvas paper. Brushes, canvas paper, and oils will be provided by the instructor.

Monet made light the central focus of his paintings. To capture its variations, he would sometimes complete a painting in one sitting, often without preparation. He wished to demonstrate how light altered color and perception of reality. His free-flowing style and use of color have been described as "almost ethereal" and the "epitome of impressionist style.”
Topic: art history, color theory, composition, hands on experience.
Level: Beginners.

Instructor: Rosa Maria Goeller
