We will read and discuss Falling Upward: A Spirituality for the Two Halves of Lives by Father Richard Rohr. Drawing upon both Hebrew and Christian scriptures, poetry, philosophy, science, medicine, and the mysticism of all world religions, Father Richard examines how the mistakes and heartaches of the first half of life prepare us for a deeper, richer, wiser and happier second half of life.
Facilitated by Pat McDonough, a school psychologist who holds master’s degrees in theology and education. Throughout her 40- year-career in Catholic education and pastoral ministry, Pat offered retreats and presentations on spirituality and wrote on issues of Faith for Newsday and the New York Times.
