Film Friday: The New Boy

Sister Eileen (Cate Blanchett) runs a monastery for Aboriginal children in a remote part of Australia in the 1940s. When a new boy is brought to her in the dead of night, she initially treats him like any other, until she learns of his mysterious powers. Faced with a choice between protecting his indigenous spirit and preserving her Christian teachings, Sister Eileen is caught between her traditions and the truth she sees before her.
