Alex and Tess have been slowly drifting apart for years, and with middle age descending on them both, they decide to separate. The pair must navigate co-parenting their two children while also finding a new purpose outside their relationship. As Alex finds meaning in trying his hand at stand-up, Tess returns to volleyball coaching to find a version of herself she fears losing.
